Just over two years ago, when our present year 6 were in year 4, we were getting ready to go on our trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We were very excited as we had been learning about zoos and looking at the arguments ‘for’ and ‘against’ as part of our English topic. Then Covid-19 hit. We visited virtually but it wasn’t the same. A year later – still in lockdown.

So today it was such a joy to take year 4, 5 and 6 to visit the park. We learnt all about conservation and the importance of protecting the endangered species around the world. We got to see some amazing animals too, even the leopard made an appearance. The children behaved impeccably and every adult we encountered commented on their excellent behaviour. Well done, BH! We will never take our trips out for granted again!
