In programming this half term the Year 4s are looking at the history of animation. In our first lesson we looked at some of the earliest forms of animation before technology (e.g. Zoetropes and Thaumatropes) and how Disney created their very first films using hundreds of hand-dawn pictures and a multi plane camera system. The children were fascinated to see how far animation has come now and how different it was in the past. Today they had a go at making their very own flip books and in our subsequent lessons we are going to have a go at making some thaumatropes and a zoetrope. We will then start to look at stop motion films and the children will have the opportunity to create their own next half term 🎞📷🖥
