In Year 2, pupils have been fully immersed in their learning as they explored capacity and volume using a range of different containers and apparatus. Their curiosity really shone through as they began asking thoughtful questions such as, “Why do objects look bigger when they go in water?” and “How can we measure volume if there are no markings on a container?” It has been a truly fun and engaging experience, with lots of practical investigation and problem-solving.

Our Gardening Club have also been busy outdoors, exploring which plants will thrive best in our flower beds. The children have begun creating signs for their chosen plants, showing great care and pride in developing our school environment.

Meanwhile, in Year 6, pupils have been putting their scientific knowledge into action by creating fruit batteries. They have been investigating how this can be used to light a bulb, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and a real enthusiasm for science.

It’s been a brilliant week of discovery, creativity and learning across the school.
