We have had a wonderful Autumn term! Our Topic was ‘Inside and Outside’. We have looked at our bodies, medicine and its history, important people in the medicine world from many years ago, and we have been very lucky to have had a few familiar faces come and visit us to talk to us about their jobs in health care, ranging from nursing to neurology to dentistry! Thank you to those people that volunteered their time to bring learning to life! We have also had some grandparents come and visit to talk about life when they were younger, comparing it to modern day life. It was fantastic!

In Literacy, we have looked at letter writing using the text ‘Dear Dinosaur’ and ‘Dear Father Christmas’. The children wrote their own letters which will now hopefully be in the North Pole!

In Maths, we have learned about place value, fractions, time, shapes, addition and subtraction and will continue our Mathematical journey in the Spring term.

We were fortunate enough to end this half-term with a Nativity performance to our nearest and dearest. It was magical, and so good to give the children the experience of performing to their families after having to miss out on the last couple of years!

We look forward to next term, and our new Topic… ‘Let’s Build’!

As always, thank you for your support. We would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year!
