This half term at BH we have had to shuffle around our topics. All of our students have been working on their football skills. Mr Bell, Mr Millard and Mr Keen have been thoroughly impressed by the effort and development of our children. Their attitude to change and embrace new challenges has been excellent.

In the last week of term we played 2 inter school fixtures.
Year 3 played year 4. For many of our year 3’s this was their first opportunity to experience a match day with a match tea (which they really enjoyed). The match was played at a ferocious pace with some excellent skills on show. Year 3 eventually won the game 7-4, with Finley and Hector being voted players of the match. Well done!

Year 5 played year 6. This was a back and forth game that could have gone either way. Year 5 pulled away at the end winning 6-4. Players of the match in this game were James and Sebastian. We recreated the crowd at the match with Mrs Ford, Mrs Lyons and Mr Hardcastle, who made lots of positive comments about the skills of our boys and girls.

Next half term we will continue the co-curricular sport with hockey for all ages. Some of our children have asked if they are able to bring their own hockey sticks to school. If you would like your child to have their own hockey stick, particularly in the current Covid-19 climate, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Bell who is more than happy to give you help and support in this area.
