This term has been a very busy one, including lessons via video link with our friends at the Virgen del Carmen school in Córdoba for the upper and lower school students.

Nursery and Reception have been learning all about Springtime, including vocabulary for flowers and spring animals. We also enjoyed learning about Easter traditions and some of the songs/dances that are associated with Semana Santa.

KS1 have been learning about cultural traditions, we have looked at how special days, including Birthdays are celebrated in Spain. We have made party invitations and we even had our own celebration at the end of term, with tarta de cumpleaños and, of course, a piñata!

KS2 have been working on a variety of topics. Year 3 have memorised and recorded themselves telling the story of the hungry caterpillar. Year 4 have created some excellent work on celebrity families. Year 5 have done extra tasks associated with free time and activities, we even successfully completed some exercises taken from y11 papers, excellent work! Year 6 have been online shopping, learning about clothing and extending their grammatical knowledge with adjective agreement. We are looking forward to our very own fashion show.

I am so proud of all of the students’ achievements this term, Fantástico!
