The Christmas term is always an exciting one, with the opportunity to learn a lot about the cultural differences in how Christmas is celebrated in other Countries. Reception and KS1 learned all about the day of the Kings (January 6th) and made their own shoes to leave out in the hope they will be filled with sweets from the Kings, and not coal!

Nursery and Lower school have enjoyed singing Feliz Navidad and Cascabel, which you may have seen on social media. They have mastered describing themselves along with body parts. Year 1 and 2 have been learning classroom instructions and pencil case items, with a view to using more Spanish in the classroom to ask for what they need instead of asking in English.

Upper School have enjoyed a variety of topics , including Free time, opinions and musical instruments. I am particularly proud of the Year 5 and 6 who have completed tasks aimed at a much higher age range, including reciting a poem by Antonio Machado with no help, just memory. A fantastic and impressive achievement. Feliz Navidad!
