I don’t know about you, but the thing that I am missing the most, in Lockdown 3, is cuddles! When we have to keep our social distance from everyone but immediate family, it has made me realise the power of a cuddle and physical touch! Talking to my classes each day, I always ask them for their attitude of gratitude. It is a really good way to start each day with a positive mindset, and you would be surprised by the number of times that ‘my teddies’ comes up. A cuddle with a teddy bear may at the moment be the next best thing. You’ll remember at the beginning of the first lockdown, when we spoke about ‘belly bear’ breathing techniques! A bit of time out, laid on your bed, with a cuddle from a teddy, can do wonders to restore peace and calm. So, mums, dads, grandparents and friends of BH, when it all feels a little too much, grab a teddy, you may have to borrow one, and take that time out for a ‘teddy bear’ cuddle. I promise it will make the world of difference! Well-being and mental health, is of paramount importance in everyone’s growth, so we must all make time to look after ourselves!. It has been a tough term and I am so proud of every member of our BH family and how well you have all done. We await with bated breath the next government announcement and cross our fingers that we will all be back in school as soon as possible.
