A busy half-term for the artists of Burton Hathow. We began the year with self portrait drawings which were fabulous and are on display in the Art room if you would like to come and see them. Following on from that Years 1 and 2 have been painting water, and designing and making boats. Year 3 have learned about the techniques of marbling and have made books. Year 4 have been creating ‘A Rainbow Forest’ and practicing colour mixing as they painted huge vivid trees. Year 5 have faced the challenges of printing and Year 6 are working with wire and pliers to create 3D human figure sculptures. This work linked particularly well with the unveiling of the Antony Dufort sculpture of George Boole which we took the Year 6 children to see in Lincoln.
