This week, our pupils have been busy exploring, creating, and discovering across science, engineering, and the great outdoors!
In Reception, our tiny artists with big imaginations have been making frames using natural resources collected from our forest space. Their creativity and resourcefulness were wonderful to see in action.

Meanwhile, our engineering and forest school groups have been developing practical skills by learning to tie knots – including mastering their own shoelaces! These hands-on activities are helping build confidence and problem-solving skills in the outdoors.

Pupils in Upper School have been safely learning to use a Bunsen burner to earn their Bunsen Burner Licence. This is excellent preparation for future scientific learning, giving them both practical experience and confidence in the lab.

Year 3 pupils have been exploring how fossils form, using everyday objects to demonstrate this fascinating process, while Year 4 have been investigating liquids and solids, experimenting with non-Newtonian fluids to deepen their understanding of material properties.

We also had a productive visit from the Angling Trust to explore how we can further develop our lake to support sustainable fishing – an exciting project being driven by Robin, a Year 5 pupil.

Well done to all the children and staff who have taken part in these exciting learning experiences! Your curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm are what make learning so enjoyable.
