We are delighted to share a very special piece of music inspired by our beautiful Burton Hathow woodland. Mr Nowell has written a wonderful original song that captures the magic, beauty and sense of adventure found within our outdoor spaces.
The children have come together to create this video, with every year group singing on the track. The children have worked incredibly hard to learn their parts, sing with confidence and develop their listening skills as they performed together.
As well as singing in harmony, the children explored the musical technique of layering, where different vocal sections are carefully combined to build a richer and more complex sound. This required excellent teamwork, concentration and an awareness of how their individual voices contributed to the overall performance.
We are incredibly proud of the children for the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment they have shown throughout this project. A huge thank you to Mr Nowell for composing such a special song and for inspiring our pupils to celebrate the wonderful environment that surrounds our school.
