Our annual Prize Giving is one of the most special occasions in the Burton Hathow calendar, providing an opportunity for our whole school community to come together and celebrate another remarkable year of learning, growth and achievement.

Throughout the ceremony, we recognised the many accomplishments of our pupils with awards presented for each year group, individual subjects and, most importantly, the qualities that make Burton Hathow such a special place. For example, awards celebrating kindness, resilience and contribution to the community reflected the values that our children demonstrate every day and reminded us that character is just as important as academic success.

One of the highlights of the morning was listening to our traditional Year 6 speeches. Delivered with confidence, warmth and humour, they reflected on treasured memories, friendships and the journey the children have shared together. There were many smiles, and more than a few tears, as we celebrated this important milestone before they move on to the next stage of their education.

Music played a central role in the celebration, with beautiful performances from both the Lower School and Upper School Choirs, alongside enthusiastic singing from the entire school community. These moments perfectly captured the joy, creativity and togetherness that define life at Burton Hathow.

Following the ceremony, families, staff and pupils gathered in the beautiful churchyard of St Peter in Eastgate, to enjoy a delightful picnic together, providing a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year and celebrate as a community.

Our sincere thanks go to Reverend Robbie for supporting the service so thoughtfully. We are also incredibly grateful to our staff, families and, above all, our wonderful children, who continue to inspire us every day. Congratulations to all of our award winners and to every pupil for the enthusiasm, kindness and determination they have shown throughout the year. We wish our Year 6 leavers every success as they begin their next exciting chapter.
