This summer, our Upper School pupils transported audiences into the magical world of Shakespeare with a stunning performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, staged in the beautiful surroundings of the Burton Hathow Forest.

Performing beneath the trees provided the perfect backdrop for this enchanting tale, bringing the woodland setting of Shakespeare’s play to life in a truly memorable way. The natural environment created a unique atmosphere, immersing the audience in the magic, mystery and humour of the performance.

Our pupils demonstrated remarkable confidence, creativity and commitment throughout the production. From learning lines and developing characters to working together as an ensemble, every cast member played their part in delivering a captivating performance. Their expressive acting, comic timing and enthusiasm were a testament to the many weeks of rehearsal and the dedication they showed in preparing for the event.

The production was further enhanced by imaginative staging, costumes and music, creating an unforgettable theatrical experience for our families and wider school community. It was wonderful to see the children embrace the challenge of performing Shakespeare with such confidence and enjoyment.
Productions like this are about so much more than performance. They develop communication, collaboration, resilience and self-belief, while giving every child the opportunity to shine and create lasting memories.
A huge congratulations to all of our performers. Thank you also to our families for their fantastic support. It was a magical afternoon and a wonderful celebration of the creativity, confidence and community spirit that make Burton Hathow so special.
