The new term began with a flurry of excitement as snowfall transformed the school grounds and gave us a truly magical start to the first week back. The wintry weather brought with it plenty of smiles, creativity and opportunities for learning, setting a positive tone for the term ahead.

Year 1 made the most of the cold conditions during their Forest School session, where they learned more about their forest environment and how it changes with the seasons. Despite the wet and chilly weather, the children showed fantastic enthusiasm and resilience, and were rewarded with some well-earned hot chocolate for their hard work outdoors.

The snow also inspired some wonderful creativity, with pupils taking the opportunity to build a brand-new BH pupil in the playground.

Later in the week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in a live question-and-answer session with Baroness Pitheathley OBE in the House of Lords. They asked insightful questions and learned more about the role of a Baroness or Lord, gaining a valuable real-world insight into how our democracy works.

A memorable and snowy start to the term, filled with learning, curiosity and shared experiences.
