Changes to Routine
Staggered start and finish times have been introduced to ensure that parents and children from different bubbles can maintain a safe distance apart. Children are taught in year group bubbles and remain in these bubbles for lunchtimes, playtimes, and before and after school clubs.
Seating arrangements for years 1 – 6 are forward facing. All classrooms and corridors are kept well aired, with windows and doors remaining open at all times.
Children and staff are reminded to maintain good personal hygiene, washing hands on a regular basis, using sanitisers between hand washes, and cleaning work stations and equipment that might be shared.
Staff wear face coverings when working with a pupil at a proximity of less than 2 metres. Full PPE is used for personal care and lunchtimes in nursery. Whole school gatherings are currently not permitted and assemblies take place in year group bubbles. As much teaching as possible is done outside on our field or in our woodland area.
Infection Control
Pupils and staff will be sent home immediately if they show symptoms of a new and continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss of taste or smell. They will be asked to take a test and engage with the track and trace scheme should they test positive. Any pupil or member of staff contacted by track and trace will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
